Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app works without sign-up, and there are no ads.

Where are my favourites and my own recipes stored?

On your device only. They survive app updates, but they are removed if you delete the app. They are not synced between devices yet.

Recipes won't load. What can I do?

Recipes come from an online database, so the app needs an internet connection. Check your connection and tap "Try again". If the problem continues, please email me with your iPhone model and iOS version.

Can I add a photo to my own recipe?

Yes. Tap "Add Photo" in the Add Recipe form, then choose "Take Photo" or "Choose from Library". The photo is stored on your device only. If you declined camera access, you can turn it on in Settings › Mocktail Finder.

How do I edit or delete my own recipe?

Open the recipe and scroll to the bottom: "Edit" opens it in the form again, "Delete" removes it together with its photo after a confirmation. Both are available only for recipes you created yourself.

How do I switch between light and dark mode?

Tap the sun/moon button in the header to switch. The app remembers your choice. Press and hold the same button to follow your iPhone's system setting again.

What do the words under each drink mean?

They describe the drink's character — for example "Iced · Citrus · Sparkling" or "Hot · Chocolate · Creamy". They are worked out from the recipe's ingredients and instructions, and the same words are used as filters on the home screen.

How do I share a recipe?

Open any recipe and tap "Share Recipe". The recipe is sent as text with ingredients and steps through any app you choose.

Is the app free?

Yes, completely.
