Privacy Policy
Effective date: 23 September 2026
Mocktail Finder is an iOS app by Vladyslav Filon that helps you discover, save and create non-alcoholic drink recipes. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: the app does not collect any personal data.
What the app stores on your device
Your favourite recipes and the recipes you create yourself are saved only on your device, in the app's private storage. If you attach a photo to your own recipe, a copy of that photo is stored in the same place. None of this is uploaded anywhere and none of it is ever seen by us. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it. It may be included in your device backups (iCloud or computer backups) according to your own iOS settings.
To make the list load faster, the app also keeps a copy of recipe details it has already downloaded from TheCocktailDB on your device.
Information sent over the internet
To show recipes and photos, the app requests them from TheCocktailDB (thecocktaildb.com), a third-party recipe database. As with any internet request, TheCocktailDB's servers receive standard technical information such as your device's IP address. We do not receive, store or have access to this information. TheCocktailDB's own privacy practices are described on its website.
Photos
When you add a photo to your own recipe, you can take one with the camera or pick one from your library. The camera is used only at that moment, to take that one picture; the app never records video or audio and does not use the camera for anything else. iOS asks for your permission the first time, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings — the library option keeps working without it. Picking from the library uses the standard iOS photo picker, so the app receives only the photo you pick, not access to your whole library. Either way the photo is stored on your device only and is never uploaded. If you add no photo, a default image is loaded from Unsplash.
What the app does not do
- No account or sign-up.
- No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs.
- No collection of names, email addresses, contacts, location, photos or any other personal data.
- No data sold or shared with anyone.
Sharing recipes
When you use "Share Recipe", the app hands the recipe text to the iOS share sheet. What happens next is controlled by the app you choose to share with (Messages, Mail and so on) and by your own choices.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated and the effective date changed. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
